How do you turn ocean freshness into ocean protection?

Challenge

Oceans are under threat from climate change, pollution and deep-sea mining. But for most people, the ocean feels far away. They know it matters, but they do not feel the urgency to protect it.

Insight

The ocean is already in every Dutch home. Not the real one, but the clean, fresh, packaged version sold by everyday products.

Idea

Hou je van de oceaan? Hou dan van de échte. We turn “ocean fresh” products into reminders of the real ocean we risk losing.

Execution

Greenpeace places transparent stickers over ocean-themed products in supermarkets and public bathrooms. Their clean blue packaging becomes a preview of a polluted future. Each sticker carries a QR code that leads straight to action. The intervention starts on the shelf, spreads online and turns the products people already own into media for ocean protection.
