Challenge
Students already rely on WieBetaaltWat and Splitwise. Tikkie wanted to put Groepie on the map by making it feel more social, more fun and more personal.

How do we convince students to try a new app for splitting group costs?

We live in a world of Spotify Wrappeds and Instagram Recaps. People love looking back, sharing and comparing. In student houses, shared expenses are part of the group culture, so money comes with stories and status.
Launch Terugblikkie. A personalized year-in-review for your Groepie that shows everything you did not really want to know. From the biggest late payer to the ultimate treat giver. Each group gets its own set of stats and rankings.
We built an in-app recap that turns a year of group payments into playful cards and leaderboards. The design is instantly shareable. The tone is relatable and a little confronting. Groepie becomes more than a tool to split costs. It becomes a snapshot of student life that people want to share.
